Why have I stamped my web address across some of the photos?

This site has been getting way more hits than I ever thought it would. After all
the whole idea was simply to share some of my enjoyment of the wonderful sport of
drag racing with like-minded folk, and I didn't really think so many of you would
find it. Maybe that's the power of the eurodragster.com web site!

I've simply added the watermarking in an effort to retain some control over my pictures in
light of this wider than expected exposure. Although I'm not trying to make a living out of
my drag racing interest, a few people have told me that I should maybe take steps to ensure
that the pictures are not being redistributed in any way by others. I thought that the low
resolution versions on the web would be good enough to enjoy without the risk of any pirating
activities by third parties, but after a couple of discussions I thought maybe I should add
a watermark of some kind.

If you think the writing over the images is spoiling your enjoyment of the site, I'd like to
hear from you.
I don't want to put people off visiting, so if enough people object to the change
I'll think about reversing it.

Why have I decided to charge for High Res images on CD?

Simple, really. I don't have a lot of money and much as I'd like to I can't afford to keep sending
CDs through the post for nothing. The modest fee for doing this covers my costs in terms of the CD,
the envelope, the stamp, the trip to the post office (my 4-litre V8 is thirsty on short runs into town)
and my time. When you look at it in that way, £6 for a single picture (for personal use) isn't really a
lot of money, is it? It certainly ain't going to make me rich, that's for sure!
Costs for commercial use are negotiable, but must obviously be higher.
